How Rain Is Formed

Rain is formed through a natural process called the water cycle. Water from oceans, rivers, and lakes evaporates into the air as water vapor due to the heat of the sun. This vapor rises and cools, forming tiny water droplets that gather together to create clouds.

When the clouds become heavy with water droplets, the droplets fall to the Earth as rain. Rain is essential for life because it provides fresh water for drinking, agriculture, and maintaining natural ecosystems. Without rain, plants, animals, and humans would struggle to survive, making it a vital part of the planet’s weather and environment. Shutdown123
